Trinity Church Bible Racks

Trinity Church

Founded in 1698 and located on Queen Anne Square in Newport, Rhode Island, Trinity Church is one of the oldest Episcopal churches in New England.

Trinity Church wished to fuse details from existing 16th,17th, and 18th-century bible racks to create the Honduras mahogany racks shown below. The front slats are mortised through the sides and pinned in the front. The bottom is dovetailed into the sides and the backing is tongue and grooved.
